Stove enamelling and painting provide extremely hard and durable surfaces for increased protection of the component.  The cured finish offers excellent resistance to chemical and physical damage to the treated surface. Resistance to acids, alkalis and detergents is also assured with these materials.  These coatings need to be cured at elevated temperatures generally from 130 C to 180 C.  Custom Coatings are able to offer this service in our higher temperature curing oven.

The application of these Stoving materials is often done in compliance with DEF STAN 80-152.  The full system is often used on items including telecommunication instruments and fire control instruments.

The paints are available in either Full Gloss or Semi-Gloss finishes and an application of 40 microns wet film will result in a dry film thickness of 20 microns which is ideal.  Stoving will normally take place for 45 minutes at 175C or for Gloss finishes at the slightly lower temperaure of 140C
